The Anatomical Spaces betwwen Scapula and Humerus ( Triangular and Quadrangular )

The Anatomical Spaces of Scapula and Humerus :

At the dorsal aspect of the scapula , between scapula and humerus ,There are two anatomical spaces . They are :

1- Triangular Space
It's bounded and situated between teres minor above , and teres major below , and bounded between teres minor medially , and long head of triceps laterally .

The circumflex scapular artery* pass throw this space .

2- Quadrangular Space
It's bounded and situated between the subscapularis and teres minor , and teres major below , and bounded between long head of triceps medially , and surgical neck of humerus laterally .

- The axillary artery , and posterior circumflex humeral vessels pass throw this space , to escape from the axilla .

* The circumflex scapular artery branched from subscapular artery that branched too from third from third part of axillary artery , and feeds the scapular region .
