Axillary artery



Axillary artery

  •  Its communication of subclavian artery , begin from lateral border of first rib , and ends in inferior border of teres major muscle .
  •  Its divided into three parts by pectoralis minor muscle .
a. First part extended  from lateral border of 1st rib , to upper or medial border of pectoralis minor muscle .
* Its give one branch ( Highest thoracic artery )
b. Second part extended inferior of pectoralis minor muscle .
* Its gives twp branches ( Thoracoacromial artery , and lateral thoracic artery ) .
c. Third part extended from lateral border of pectoralis minor muscle , to inferior border of teres major muscle .
* Its gives three branches ( Subscapular artery , Anterior circumflex humeral artery , and posterior circumflex humeral artery ) .
